Since graduating from Stanford
University, Sarah has pursued a career in entertainment and
the arts. She has worked as a professional choreographer,
dancer, and acrobat at several theme parks, including SeaWorld
in San Diego and Tokyo Disney in Japan. Sarah played the role
of the Little Mermaid at Tokyo Disney Sea during 2003. |

Her performing arts career nearly
came to a halt when Sarah was awarded an alternate position
for the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship in 2003. Had she received
the grant, she would have stopped her acrobatics to study in
Beijing for one academic year. Her aim was to continue her Honors
Thesis field research on the lives of gymnasts in China. This
study would have revealed educational opportunities granted
to professional athletes. As fate would have it, Sarah remained
an alternate for the Fulbright and was given the opportunity
to pursue her own athletic endeavors. |

Upon her return from Japan, Sarah
signed an artist’s contract with Cirque du Soleil, the
French-Canadian company that has transformed traditional circus
into an artful fantasy. Sarah was invited to create, as well
as perform in, KÀ--a new resident show at MGM Grand Hotel
and Casino. From October 2003 through April of 2004, Sarah trained
as a new acrobat at Cirque du Soleil’s headquarters in
Montreal. For nearly a year, Sarah participated in the creation
of one of the most elaborate theatrical performances Cirque
du Soleil has ever produced. KÀ creates a world of thrilling
acrobatics, martial arts, and innovative puppetry, multimedia,
and pyrotechnics. KÀ opened on February 3, 2005 and currently
plays two shows a night, five nights a week. (To purchase tickets,
