On June 11, 2005, Sarah was married to the love of her life, fellow Stanford graduate, Matthew Joseph Traverso. Matthew is a Senior Manager in Technical Marketing for a Fiber Optic company spun out of Hitachi, called, “OpNext.” Matt represents Opnext in the development of new high speed optical standards such 10GbE. Matt is an ultimate Frisbee player and triathlete. On January 8th 2009, the couple gave birth to their first child, Emma Jane Traverso. She is the love of their life!

Sarah appreciates the opportunities she’s enjoyed thus far and is always setting her sights on new goals. Despite Sarah’s sports induced asthma, she conquered her life-goal of running a marathon in 2006. Sarah completed her first marathon in November of 2006 with a time of four hours and 38 minutes at Nevada’s annual Silverman Race. (www.silvermannv.com) The Silverman is a full-course triathlon with a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run. Sarah participated as a relay team member at Silverman, alongside teammates Darren Dos Santos (swimmer) and Luc Fecteau (cyclist). Their team’s time was 13:24:19. |

As a new Mommy, Sarah has decided to dedicate her time and energy to her daughter, Emma. Sarah has officially resigned from Cirque du Soleil for the time being so that she may focus on Emma as well as run her small business, Sarah Harding Fitness Inc. Sarah is a nationally certified Pilates instructor, motivational speaker, fitness model, choreographer and health consultant. Her clients range from top athletes to active elderly rehabbing an injury, from folks looking to lose weight to pregnant women learning about healthy pre-natal fitness. It is Sarah’s aim to continually educate herself in the field of women’s health and fitness so that she may be a resource to others.
